I am looking for the marriage of Alexander Weightman/Wightman born 1779 Doddington, Northumberland, died 1847 Doddington, Northumberland. He had 3 daughters Rebekah b.1798 Ann b.1800 and Elizabeth b.1802 all born at Wooler Northumberland. Their mother is listed as Mary but without a surname registered. I've researched what available records of Northumberland and Durham but without any success. Would appreciate any info from fellow Rootchatters TIA :) :)

Ovingham, Northumberland, St Mary the Virgin
27 May 1821 Alexander Weightman (of the parish of Dodington) married Mary Harbottle (of this parish), by banns
Witnesses: Elisabeth Scot; George Harbottle
added: this doesn’t seem to fit, but I’ll leave it here just in case it is useful

Alan thank you for your swift reply and details Not sure if this is the Mary I am after. I've been thinking Alexander and Mary would have married before the birth of their first daughter Rebekah in 1798.Perhaps they were "living in sin" before deciding to marry I will have a look at the info But as we know FH research is always throwing curve balls at us. If only our ancestors knew what angst they would cause us using second or pet names different surname spellings etc ::) ::) ::)

Given that the children's baptisms seem to have been at Wooler Presbyterian, have you considered that the marriage may have been a cross border one and took place in Scotland?

This is them in 1841

The youngest daughter is Margaret.
WIGHTMAN, MARGARET
Mother's maiden surname: HARBOTTLE
GRO Reference: 1841 J Quarter in GLENDALE UNION Volume 25 Page 255
In 1841 Alexander was 60-65, Mary was 45-50. The ages before being corrected to be rounded down look to me like possibly 64 and 47.
Would this have been a second marriage for Alexander or do you have the wrong death? He would have been very young for those days to be married and having a child at 19 years.
Debra :)

To Dundee's point he would have been 19 in 1798, and the fact the children were baptised in Wooler. - Rebekah, Ann and Elizabeth
Perhaps they are the children of Alexander of Wooler (whose first wife Esther Waitman died 1797 buried 21 March 1797 w/o Alexander) and his second wife Mary.
Notes with Esther he had
Alexander 1784, Andrew 1789, John 1791, George 1794
