Title: PUPILLO - Magnaboschi Cemetery, Cesuna, Vicenza, Italy
Post by: ghostgirl on Tuesday 25 April 23 03:21 BST (UK)
Hi!
Can anyone please point me in the right direction? According to a popular family tree website, Orazio PUPILLO was born 9 Jan 1892 and died 8 July 1916, and was buried in the Magnaboschi Italian and Austro - Hungaric cemetery, Cesuna, Privincia di Vicenza, Veneto, Italy.
The cemetery appears to be a military cemetery, and according to the record, Orazio was a soldier. I'd like to know where I can find more records relating to Orazio - he had a son, Paolo, born in Ferla, Siracusa, Sicilia, Italy in 1907 (meaning Orazio became a father at 15). Where can I locate Italian military records please?
Thanks in advance
GG

https://www.cadutigrandeguerra.it/CercaNome.aspx - you can search here. This man was born Vico del Gargano and Foggia was the district in which his military was registered.

However, I don't think this man is the same who had a son in 1907.
If this is the birth: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G9HN-9F1F?i=839&cc=2110810&cat=408370
It appears this father Orazio is a 37 year old farmer, residing in Ferla.

IMO these are just two seperate records belonging to two men who happened to have the same name.
