Good evening I am trying to locate any info on my Grandad on his Military side
All I have is his DOB 11 May 1915 Oswestry, Shropshire, England
He was In Ireland where he Married my Nan Sarah Arichibald Tomlinson on 4th June 1941 at St Pauls Church , Ireland ( Errigal).
he was listed on the Marriage certificate as soldier 61st Division looks like supply chain, he survived the war and passed away 13 Dec 1991
I appreciate its a long shot but im drawing a blank on where to start

His father was actually Charles John V Hodder. Presume the V is for Vagg.

A Charles Vagg Hodder, Broadmayne, Dorchester, farmer and butcher is listed under Bankruptcy receiving orders (Huddersfield Chronicle, 6 Feb 1889). Should appear in the London Gazette but cannot locate it.
Two later newspaper reports have him in Court for failing to comply with the conditions of the bankruptcy.
