Title: My Herritage
Post by: chrissiepoos on Tuesday 04 April 23 05:03 BST (UK)
So I am being a bit cheeky, I am researching Bertie Hyde on Ancestry, I looked on My Heritage and found a few people researching him and there are photos, but I really can't afford to sign on with them at the moment. So just wondering if anyone could look him up for me please, here are his detail
Born 1877 Hersham Surrey
Died  1959 Surrey.      Thank you.

If you can see the photos, have you considered doing a screenshot?

The phots are very small and when I made it a bit bigger it was very blurry.

Yes, that can be the problem with screenshots.  You do get a blurry image if you make it larger.  You will have to hope that someone with a My Heritage account will be willing to obtain the photos for you.

I would be very grateful, it's a shame you have to have a year subscription.

A lot of family history websites do expect money but what is offered in the way of subs seems to vary.  Some will offer one month, others expect you to pay for a whole year.

I don't think many of them offer any kind of pay as you go system.  Does My Heritage offer a one month sub at all?

If not, then you will have to wait and see if a kind rootschatter who has a sub will have a look for you.

I can only see a year subscription I just paid for Ancestry so I can't pay any more money out for a while.

Bertie HYDE appears in 49 trees in Ancestry. Have you checked them to see if anyone has a photo they would be willing to share?

As Spelk has said, there are many trees on Ancestry that you could search. The My Heritage photo is as you have already downloaded.

I realise this and I have sent many messages and looked through photos, I just was hoping to see this photo a bit clearer.

The photo on MH is as you already have. I don't see anything larger.  It appears to be from a group photo.

A search for photos of him on Ancestry brings up some but not visible  as they are on private trees. You could try contacting the tree(s) owner(s).

Have you checked if your libraries have access to My Heritage?
You can access it via the library website here across the ditch in Auckland.
