I'm assuming there is only one Cathedral Road in Cardiff?

Anyway, Cissie Spencer, aged 42, born West Hartlepool, Durham, was living there alone when the census was taken. She is married, but no children:

Hi QueenoftheWest
Thank you for that , yes I believe there is only one Catherdral Road , does it say anything about if she works etc , its a big house to live alone, annoying hubby not with her.
Much appreciated

Historical Directories online

Cardiff Street Directory 1914
Cathedral Road Canton
From Cowbridge Road

Gilestone Road intersects
Nos. 202 - 224
No. 226  Spencer Alfred, master mar.

Also checked the 1909 Street Directory - highest house no. for Cathedral Road was 200.

It does look like "new build".

Old Maps - Cardiff 1899/1901  https://maps.nls.uk/view/102183795
At the northern end of Cathedral Road is Chester Street with frontage onto Cathedral Road.

Old Maps - Cardiff 1915/1922   https://maps.nls.uk/view/102342619
A row of houses has appeared between Chester Street and Cathedral Road. No 226 can still be seen on Streetview.

Also spotted this advert in a 1910 newspaper
"House For Sale
Cathedral-Road (Best side)" !!
