Title: What Is The Occupation
Post by: mwjw22jb on Monday 27 March 23 07:38 BST (UK)
Hi,

I was wondering if someone would be able to give me some help with this marriage record please?
I have Carnaby Strutt and Jane Wilson getting married in St Bride's Fleet Street, London. All the entries in the Register give an account of the spouse's occupation, place of abode. I can read the record but just can't fathom the last sentence which says Carnaby's occupation.

Thanking You,
Marj

Say wever = say weaver. Say is a woollen fabric like serge.

Hi,
Thank you so much. I wondered if the last word was "weaver" but didn't know about the "Say" bit.
