Good Afternoon
Does anybody have any Idea if I can get railway workers records, I have contacted National Archives. but to be honest I cant get to grips with there pages.

He was working for the Midland railway, and he was a a union member i have number and it appears to be Hellifield.

Midland railway is amongst the best represented at TNA, but the survival is not good. The University of Warwick has extensive Trade Union Records so I should start there.
What dates are involved as the Midland Railway amongst others relevant to Hellifield became the LMS on 1st January 1923.
