Can anyone help please. I searching for the death of Hannah Hinton but have had no luck at all.
Her maiden name was Grainger born 1859 in Codnor, Derbyshire. She married Fred Skinner in 1879. He died 1893, she remarried James Hinton in 1905.
The family are in Ilkeston up to 1921 census and James Hinton is buried in Park Cemetery Ilkeston but she isn’t buried with him.
Can’t find her on 1939 register.
I’ve searched deaths from 1921 when I know she was alive up to 1959 which would make her 100 years old but nothing comes up.
Please a fresh pair of eyes might see something I can’t.

Do you have an exact dob birth for Hannah Hinton nee Grainger?
Do you have an address for Hannah Hinton around 1939?
-
Unfortunately I don’t have an exact birth date. She was baptised 9 March 1859 in Codnor.
I can’t find any record for her at all after the 1921 census. I have searched the 1939 register but nothing comes up. I have tried every way I can think of spelling Hinton but to no avail

As you know she was alive up to 1959 was she still living in Ilkeston?
Edit to add
Have you tried searching the 1939 Register using the address from 1921 census?

Ladyhawk, Does not the poster mean she knew Hannah was alive in 1921 and has then searched up and until 1959 when Hannah would have been 100, not that she was still alive in 1959.

I've misread it ::) So your find for death in 1937 could be her

With the emphasis on "Could she possibly"

Hannah HINTON her death is proving elusive :-\
I’ve looked at each of the Hinton children & Skinner from 1911 census
James, Dennis, Albert He(i)nton & Frederick Charles Skinner and the Skinner children from 1901c
Rose, Jessie, Annie & Effie
She doesn’t appear to be with any of them in 1939, not sure about daughter Annie Skinner
Frederick Charles Skinner married 1916
Address 23 Shelton Street
James married 1916
Address Gosport, Hampshire
Albert Hinton married in 1932
Address 15 Mount Pleasant, Cotmanhay
What was her address in 1921?
Perhaps it is the death that John posted below I think you would need to obtain the d/c to see what it reveals ie was she widowed, who was the informant
Is it possible she died as HENTON
Deaths Dec 1937
Henton Hannah aged 78 Newark 7b 470
All I can add are the details of her burial
Hannah Henton age 78 abode 22 Pinfold Lane Balderton
Burial 2 Dec 1937 Balderton, St. Giles, Nottinghamshire
There is another death for a Hannah Henton age 85 (born c1857)
died 1942 Death Registered Chesterfield
You probably can rule out 1942 death she could be the Hannah Henton on 1911 census in Bolsover, Derbyshire
Article in Newspaper 1 May 1936 Derby Times
Congratulations to Hannah Henton, Bolsover and twin sister Mary Sutton-in-Ashfield who celebrated their 80th Birthday, Natives of Sutton-in-Ashfield

Hi,
Thinking sideways, have you purchased this will?
Mary Ann Grainger died age 79 Dec. Q Basford Registration District, 1911 census Effie her Grand daughter is living with her.
Mary Ann left estate of £1,371, just wondered who is mentioned in this Will or anything that would give a clue re Nottinghamshire connection.
