Hoping this request for a look-up (if possible) doesn't infringe on any RootsChat T's & C's.
My aunt Beryl emigrated to Germany with her husband Fritz Kranemann sometime after 1955.
I never new her as she had left the UK some years before I was born.
My late father never spoke of his sister, (my aunt), for reasons unknown to me, and sadly as no family relatives who could shed any light on this are still alive (as far as I know) I have hit a brick wall so to speak.
I have no knowledge of where they settled in Germany, so I wonder if any member with access to such sources, could have a look at and share any details from any German Phone Book Directories/Indexes, for Fritz Kranemann and Beryl Kranemann.
I completely understand if this request isn't possible, but I thought it worth a try.
Fingers crossed.

Have you looked at freebmd after their marriage for childrens births. I won't disclose information as any children would hopefully still be living

Beryl mentioned as a cousin on obit for Olive Heaps

A difficult task! A search for the surname you gave showed the following:
https://www.dastelefonbuch.de/Suche/Kranemann (https://www.dastelefonbuch.de/Suche/Kranemann)
The gentleman's name is a nickname for Friedrich. A phone number is listed for one (you'll need to scroll down the page) but no address except for the town (47809 Krefeld). There is no way of knowing if this is the right man or if your man is listed in the phone book.

Hi there
As the couple married in England, do you perhaps have the certificate and any idea of his profession?
Are you aware that they had a daughter born in the same year of marriage?
There are only a couple of Fritz Kranemanns listed in the records that Ancestry have.
BUT for the years 2001 and 2003 a telephone directory entry for Beryl and Fritz Kranemann in Weitnau. That's in Bavaria. Sadly, no full entry for street and number.
It's a starting point at least...

Incorrect, 1948 & 1949.

I would contact the Standesamt (Registry Office) in Weitnau as everyone is required to register their residency where they live and update it when they move. As you are not a direct descendant, they will not provide you with death records (less than 30 years), but they should be able to tell you if they are still living there.

Thanks cockney rebel … the 2001 & 2003 info is much appreciated. Unfortunate that the street and number are not available.
