Title: Looking for marriage between George Haines and Mary Ann Alexandre 1851 or 1852
Post by: Joanna Tolhurst on Saturday 25 February 23 14:21 GMT (UK)
Mary Ann Alexandre (born 12 Oct 1825 in St Peter Port, Guernsey, parents James Alexandre and Mary Hendley Allez) was living with Mr and Mrs Kennedy in St Anne, Alderney in 1851 census. (Her parents were living still in St Peter Port.)
George Haines (born 22 Sept 1828 in Northwood isle of Wight, parents James Haines and Clarissa Coundley) was with his parents in Sun Hill, west Cowes, Isle of Wight in 1851 census.
By 26 Dec 1852 they were married when their eldest son James Alexander Haines was born in St Helier, Jersey.
By 1854 they had moved to Sun Hill West Cowes.

Any help in finding their marriage record would be appreciated.

There is a tree online that gives the marriage date as 19th November 1851-Town Church, St Peter Port, Guernsey. Parish records may be held locally, so you could check where the records are held with the Town Church in The Channel Islands. Regards.
