Hi. Has anyone any information on the above family, my 4x Great grandfather was, Henry Rozier, as far as i know he was
b, 10/10/1759 in Pakenham Suffolk, I think he was married to Frances Mann, b, c1759. I have no other information, ie, when married, died or if there were any children. Any information on the above family would be most welcome.

Hi Baloo,
Surely if he is your 4xGG then you know of at least one of his children, the one from whom you descend? Otherwise, how can he be your ancestor?
The baptisms of the children of Henry and Frances can easily be found on https://www.familysearch.org/

Marriage of Henry and Frances in 1779:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NLMQ-JYS
The marriage on FindMyPast gives her surname as Manistree.
Likely burial of Frances in 1795:

Gives her an estimated birth year of 1755.

Rosier is a common name in Suffolk
The first records are from 1572. Originally a French name, possibly Huguenot in origin they started to come to England from 1569.
Lots of them are around Ipswich, Stowmarket areas.

I also have Rozier/Rosier from Suffolk but Brandeston and possibly further back to Wetherden.
Do you know who Henry Rosier's parents were, or is that something you also wanted to find out?
-
there are a lot of trees that say
Robert Rosier m Mary Snell
had son Henry who married Elizabeth Candler/Chandler
and they are Parents of Henry and Frances Man m 1779
now I have a very large file on Rosiers mostly from Stowmarket area and Robert Rosier & Mary Snell
are my 6 x great grandparents and I must admit I havent the Henrys down in my tree so cant say if true I will try to check soon

Hi Baloo.
I think I have seen your name here before and also Sandiep. I have quite a bit on the Roziers and Roshers so I know of the names you have given. So Henry Rozier or Rosier I have born about 1720 but in the area of Culford or Ingham. Sorry Sandiep but Robert Rosier - our forebears - has no connection to Pakenham.
Yes he married Elizabeth Candler either 1750 or 1752 possibly in Norwich where other Rosiers were or in Culford.Henry died 1787 aged 67 years also in Culford.Possibly 5 children with Henry born 1749 and chris 1752 then 1st married Francis Mann at Pakenham n 1779. 7 children from this marriage then a 2nd to Lydia Jacob with one girl. Henry died 1816 Francis died 1795.
Can give you more about family. Hope to hear from you. Regards Denzil.

My Rosier is Mary Rosier who wed John Fairweather in 1761 in Monewden, witnesses Samuel Fairweather and Charles Dourant.
My mary may be the one who was born in Wetherden in 1732 to John and Margaret.
I did find a Margaret Rosier who wed a Wm Garrod in Saxmundham in 1756, witnesses Ann Watling and Mary Gooding. The Mary Rosier of Wetherden born 1732 had a sister Margaret born 1735.
