Title: E M MIDDLETON1 King St Aberdeen photographs

Can anyone tell me at what period E M Middleton of 181 King Street Aberdeen photographic studio operated since I have a number of portrait photos of family ancestors done there and I am trying to place them using dates and ages of them as seen in the pictures i have.

Thanks for that. I'm still left with quite a timespan. Any indications of time from the attached picture?

I would say around 1900  - say 1897-1905.

My guess wold be early-mid 1890s.

Thanks Carol and Gadget I was hoping about 1895 because it would fit with DOB's of some brothers I am trying to place.

Me too....photo dating is not an exact science...but between us we usually get there.
