So far I've not found a marriage for Cadwaladr and Lowry (using variations) or baptisms. Maybe I've overlooked something but looked at parish and non-conformist records.
-
Had a flash back!
Some of my ancestors were from Llanuwchlyn and neighbouring parishes and the patronymic seemed to be used much later there than further east.

Gadget, thank you for your help.
I have found no trace, given their ages i would have thought other children or even maybe an earlier marriage for Cad. but i cant find any trace.

Thanks Gadget, yes this is the one for Lowry that i thought most likely.
There are two possibilities in Bala for Cad., the one you mention and one for dec 1865.

If it helps with Cadwaladr
Age at death from GRO index
The 1862 Cadwaladr was 83 ( born circa 1779)
The 1865 Cadwaladr was 22 (borm circa 1843)
Note that age at death is very much dependent on the informant.

I have found 2 other marriages in Llanuchllun for a Cadwaladr Roberts.
In 1815 to a Margaret Thomas, and 1819 to a Jane Owen.
-
Yes, I saw those but I they didn't mention them as you were interested in a Lowry/Lowri.
How sure are you that he married Lowry?
I have some old non-conformist records on my other PC and will ahve a look through them but I think tht most of them are on line by now.

:(
I've just checked and my non-c collection doesn't include the Penllyn parishes.
There are a few Lowry/Lowri parish baptisms in some of the adjacent parishes circa 1791.

The burial in Llanfor of Cadwaladr on 23 September 1862, gives his abode as Bwlchgarredog?, Llandderfel.
I noticed that a Cadwaladr Robert, born 1778, was living at, Bwlchgarredog?, Llandderfel, in 1861 with his wife Jannet, born 1776. They were with their son-in-law and daughter. His abode is transcribed as Tynfedw, which was the next house: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7K6-GPW
A Janett Robert, born 1776, was buried in Llanfor on 2nd November, 1861, abode Caerau.
There was a Cadwaldr Cadwaladr baptised in Llanfor on 6th November 1785, son of Robert and Jane. He might have been known as Cadwaladr Robert(s).

Llanfor is not far from Llanuwchllyn - opposite ends of Llyn Tegid,
So we now have two possibles :-\
I've been looking for possible patronymics for Cadwaladr for a few days as I have quite a few ancestors in the Penllyn parishes who used that form quite late on. I even have twp brothers - one using Robert(s) and one Ellis. Often it depended on the vicar as to which form was used in the records.

I only have census info for Lowry, but she is always registered as wife.
I was looking at possibility of Cad. being previously married considering ages and when the 3 known children were born.
-
I'll check to see what I found in my previous searches and any baptisms of children to Cadwaladr and AN Other.
