Hi Everyone
Im hitting my head against a brick wall there is so many mystery regarding the Fowler Family
going from my 5th great grandfather I assume is Samuel Fowler b22.12.1765 d 13.12.1848 (dates unsure)
his first wife again unsure Mary May b.1764 d.1816 had 9 children with Samuel
2nd wife Elizabeth ??(is it appleford nee wearill or other way round)b.1786 d.1878 had 4 children with samuel
is there proof of wives and proof who his children (have looked into bdm but cant put names to dates either was to old or to young to have children and other family sites looked at still seem way out with names dates and dont link(think they just made up names and dates)
Now my 4th great grandfather John Fowler wife Mary Ann (nee.Rosier and this family is a mystery) seem to be semi okay
But need to confirm his and her occupation and resident I cannot find anything to confirm apart from some newspaper adverts and censors dates
If anyone can help confirm what Samuel did and family info with where they are all buried exactly I know its Wiltshire but what church and any photos newspaper inserts etc
John Fowler like to see proof of occupation and anything else about him deeds of land etc
Sorry being so long just love to get to the bottom of this Family with correct names to all brothers sisters etc

Samuel Fowler b22.12.1765 d 13.12.1848 (dates unsure)
his first wife again unsure Mary May b.1764 d.1816
This marriage was in Hanover Square, London in 1792 and both were said to be of the parish. A more likely marriage was in Avebury in 1784 to Mary DAVIS. Do you have a reason for choosing the London marriage?

The 1841 census shows John as a shopkeeper as does the youngest child Samuel's baptism.

You seem to be uncertain about the accuracy of the 4th great grandparent.
Who is the 3rd great grandparent....the person whose origins you are researching?
You are researching the origins of ....****......., your 3rd great grandparent.
Can you give all the information you have about that person.

Both John Fowler (died 1883) and his wife Mary Ann (died 1884) were buried in Riwaka Cemetery NZ

Baptism for Mary-Anne Rosier
25 Aug 1805 Ramsbury, Wiltshire, England
Parents: Henry Rosier and Sarah Smith - married 14 May 1804, Ramsbury
It would seem that Henry Rosier's wife Sarah died, as in 1818 Henry (wid) remarries Elizabeth Toe.
Henry and Elizabeth are together in the 1841 census in Ramsbury. He is an agricultural labourer, aged about 60.
In 1851 census for Ramsbury, Henry Rosier is a widower, born abt 1781 in Ramsbury - a coal dealer and Sexton.
Henry was buried in Ramsbury - 8 Dec 1855

My 3rd great is John Fowler son of John and Mary Fowler(my 4th greats) John was born in wiltshire married Rebecca Walsh both d. in Riwaka NZ
need to get more info from John and Mary there parents and parents

2nd great grands = John Fowler b 1853 d 1924 NZ.. Rebecca Walsh b.1851 d.1938 NZ
3rd great grands = John Fowler b.1830 wiltshire d.1912 NZ..Lucy Clark b1834 surry d1872 NZ
4th great grands = John Fowler b.1792 wilts d.1883 NZ...Mary Rosier b.1805 wilts d.1884 NZ
Now for 5th I think Samuel Fowler and Mary May going by what ive found
i can confirm that Mary Ann Rosier parents are Henry Rosier and Sarah Smith as I have Marys Death Cert
so now need the family siblings and proof this is correct

So you are copying from someone’s public tree, and therefore copying their errors?
Not recommended.
I would suggest however, that you read the replies already posted on your thread.
