Does anyone have or know where to find a passenger list for this ship that is supposed to have arrived in Wellington in 1856.
There are lists of passengers for when a ship by that name arrived in 1843 and 1858, but no other years.
Thanks

She did indeed arrive in Wellington in April 1856:

Thanks Neale1961. That appears to be just those who were bound for Lyttleton. Hoping to find those who got off in Wellington.

Since you don't wish to give a name, it is not possible to help further.
Good luck. :)

William Brookie arrive according to his obituary on the Westminster in 1865 not 1856?
Edited: I see you know this already
Extra Edit Obituary says he resided in Wellington for four years and arrived in Bulls with a toddler daughter. Wouldn't Barbara Ross Brockie be the toddler. Where was 8? Year old Jane(if born in 1852?

In 1874 Jane Brookie married William Alfred Lumsden NZBDM.
Who is Jane Prisk nee Brookie from the Matchless? #Edit Jane Lumsden became Jane Prisk. Findagrave Bulls cemetery. ((Perhaps the Prisks were from the Matchless))
Agnes Barbara Brookie
youngest daughter of William Brookie of Bulls married H.E Snellgrove. The best man and attendants were Lumsdens at this wedding. Paperspast.

Thanks whiteout7.
The 1865 date is incorrect, I thinks the last two numbers were reversed by the paper. They definitely arrived 1856. When Jane Prisk died she was 94 and had been in NZ 90 years, so arrived 1856.
Jane Brookie married William Lumsden, and after he died in 1885 she remarried to James Prisk in 1892.
