Hi all
Stumbled across this site whilst doing my family tree. I am a Jackson, my Grandad Bryan Windale Jackson passed away in August which prompted me starting the family tree.
Bryans Parents where Fred and Irene(Windale) Jackson.
Incase anyone else here is looking for Jacksons in the Durham/Shildon area then feel free contact me.
I've a load of Information on the Windale side, have even managed to find living family who I am in contact with which is great.
Irenes (Renee as she was known) father was Herbert Windale, head of the Windale Band in Darlington.
If I can help in any way that would be good.
Thanks

Hello.
My grandmother was a Jackson. Her father, Edward Jackson came from Easingwold, Whitby and her mother, Mary Jane came from Hartlepool, County Durham. The name Aird is also one of the family names. My gran's siblings were Fred, William, Daisy and Ethel.
