William married Elizabeth Esther DWYER 1913 in New South Wales.
At Williams death in New South Wales in 1964 parents stated as Colun and Mary.
I have a few spare Williams that are close, but I need to be sure.
Don't have any birth-place for him.
Any clues?
thanks

1881 marriage on freebmd - Colin Trewartha/Mary Ann Garner
www.lancashirebmd.org.uk shows marriage was at St Peter - Darwen

If you have Ancestry access - here's the link to the 1881 marriage of his parents

Interesting to see Colin's father has a different surname - George Halse - Blacksmith

On the marriage certificate it has Colin as a mechanic. There is a Colin TREWARTHA (28) mechanic arrived Australia in 1889, however the passenger list has his age in the column under "single".
-
I notice also there is a Colin TREWARTHA died Ashfield (NSW) in 1924, parents Colin and Mary.

Death notice for Mary Ann TREWARTHA in 1944 has her child William and grandchildren's names are the same as in William's death notice in 1964.

Yes your info was the lead I followed.
Curious if Elizabeth J is his mother, not locating a prior marriage to Trewartha in Cornwall. George Halse is unlikely to be his father but helped raise him.
