Hi All,
Any help finding the burial place of Vital Joseph Verbraeken who died 13 December 1883 at Edge Lane Liverpool.
I have a lot of information regarding him but have been unable to find anything regarding his burial. He was originally from Belgium and a staunch Catholic.
Thanks
Wendy

There is an electoral register record for Sharon on Find My Past which gives an address. The last date is 2010 so 12 years ago. No idea if the address is still current.

Unfortunately, his death notice in the Liverpool Mercury, 15 Dec did not specify funeral details.

Have you looked perhaps to see if he is with his wife,
Friday April 24th 1846
At St Peters Catholic Chapel Seel St
Mr VJ Verbraeken , merchant, to Miss Isabella Shepherd Bale both of this parish
she died on the 14th April 1850 in her 26th year, at No 4 Park Street,

A daughter Maria Louise was buried in St James cemetery on 4 August 1850, she was 4 months old. Her death was registered in the Sept Q of 1850. Her mother’s death was registered in the June Q. Do you know where the mother is buried? Perhaps he is with his wife.
Now found his wife
Isabella, the mother, is also buried in St James Cemetery on 17 April 1850 aged 29 years. Address Park St. she is indexed as Corbrocken and it does look like that in the register.
Not getting very far with Vital Joseph.
Just a thought but does his will specify where he is to be buried?
Another baby daughter Winifred Elizabeth buried at St James in 1849 indexed as Verhaken

Thanks everyone especially Gibel. I had not been able to find his Isabell's burial place, so this is a real bonus. Will keep searching and order the will.
-
I’ve managed to check St James Cemetery records for around the time of Vital’s death and he’s not there.

Did you see if there was a will, as previously suggested? There is a Probate entry for him with Caroline Jane Verbraeken as one of the Executors. Having said that, burial wishes aren't always specified in Wills.
