I have traced my GOODRICH ancestors to Rothwell & I'm attempting to take them further back.
Thomas was baptised in Rothwell in 1759 (yet to be proved). He married Elizabeth KING by licence in 1789 in Gaulby Leicestershire: widower & Carpenter (1st wife Hannah Cleaver). Thomas is later found in Uppingham a Master Wheelwright. There is a large cluster of GOODRICH families in that corner of Northants & Leicestershire. I've looked at numerous Baptisms & Wills but have not yet attempted to construct any families. Where do I go from here?
Any help/advice is much appreciated.

There's a Thomas Goodrich bpt at Wilbarston 28 Nov 1759 the first child of Thomas & Sarah, followed by Mary 1761, Sarah 1762, John 1764, Elizabeth 1770, Mary 1773.
Thomas Goodrich wheelwright married Sarah Watts 24 Oct 1758 at Wilbarston by Licence.
A Sarah Goodrich buried 24 Apr 1771 at Wilbarston.
[The marriage you mention to Hannah Cleaver was also at Wilbarston 1772 (??)]
BT entries for Sarah Watts at Wilbarston both 4 May 1728 and 4 Feb 1741. No sign of Thomas Goodrich there.

The Wilbarston Thomas Goodrich is another man
He marries Sarah Watts 24.10.1758 and then Hannah Cleaver 15 .11.1772 Before his death 23 Feb 1773 ,leaving a Will at Northants archives. He too is a wheelwright and he signs both marriages but with a different signature.
He has a son Thomas 28 Nov 1759 with Sarah .
If it were me I'd say the Thomas at Wilbarston is the father of your Thomas Goodrich
ps Thomas Goodrich apprentice to Samuel Smith of Foxton carpenter 19.10.1750 may point at a baptism Colc found at Foxton for Thomas Goodrich dad.
Sorry I didn't red all of Colc 's posts.

Thank you very much for all your research.
I now see why I got into such a muddle. They're probably all related BUT... I know definitely that Thomas Wheelwright in Uppingham is correct as I found him in the Guildhall Library, London when looking for his son William Freedom of the City.
Furthermore, his older brother Thomas King gave me the clue about his mother Elizabeth King married in Gaulby 1789 where he is a carpenter. So, there's more for me to look at; I have all the info from the birth of d. Ann. Some gleaned from a book by Trevor H Hall entitled: "The Strange Story of Ada Goodrich Freer"
Thank you once again for your help
