I have a note of a William H Pepper, born 1863 in Skipsea, living at 15 Florence Ave, Hull in 1891. Since there seems to have been several Florence Aves in Hull, I'd appreciate the full address.
I know that in 1881 he was in Hedon Rd jail, but where he was before that I don't know. Or after, for that matter, until 1939 when he's in the Charterhouse. Help would be appreciated.

The only additional bit for the address is after the first entry on the page for number 9 Florence Avenue it says Grange Street

I think there is a Florence Avenue on Hessle High Road, it would come under Hessle.

There are a couple of detailed newspaper items about the case that landed him in gaol. Happy to send them to you if you haven't seen them.

On the Description of the Enumeration District for the 1891 census:
"Comprising that part of the South side of Fountain Road numbered 144 to 156 inclusive, the whole of the east side of Grange St numbered 2 to 82 inclusive, and including Fairy and Jubilee Terraces, Lily's Avenue and a half terrace (unnamed), Florence Avenue , Grange Villas, Grange and Cliff Terraces."

So it's this Florence Avenue (on this 1908 map).
