Title: watson's of durham
Post by: sbeckley on Sunday 30 October 22 14:54 GMT (UK)
Hi,

Can anyone help me please as I am not having any luck with my family history search.

I am trying to trace my 5x great grandfather John Watson.

My 4x great grandfather Thomas Watson was christened in Grindon, Durham in January 1788 son of John & Mary Watson.  Thomas's brothers William & Ralph were also christened in Grindon.

As Watson is a common name I am not having any luck identifying John & Mary.

I would be most grateful for any help

Thank you

Hi
There is also this at Norton
John and Mary Denton 17.5.1779.

He seems to be the son of a John Watson ,with a brother Ralph .(Bapt 20.1.1759 and 2.1.1752 for John and  Ralph 25.9.1766.)

Thank you both.

I have looked at Mary Henderson but I haven't been able to link her to Thomas, William & Ralph as yet.

The same goes for Mary Denton.

Thanks again
