I did my ancestry DNA a few years ago with the hope of finding info about my maternal grandfather Mr. Grady (his first name changed multiple times over the years depending who you spoke to)
I only got 4th cousins or smaller in my matches.
There were no matches to his name either, having checked after 1 year, there are now 5x 5th/6th and less cousins with the name Grady /O'Grady.
I'm clutching at straws a little but it's the first ever lead!
I have added them to a group and found our linked matches (similar to Leeds method)
My question is, where do I go from here.
Thank you
Edit-Results are also uploaded to all other sites they can be.

Have you considered uploading your DNA to another site such as My Heritage, FTDNA, Living DNA etc. you may get a closer match.
I think MH is still free to see your matches.

Yes, they are uploaded to all that they can be. I've been trying to edit my post to say that but kept getting an error!

Is your tree linked to your test?
I've noticed that
thru line suggestions have improved and give different possibilities.
If a DNA match has a private but searchable linked tree thru line suggestions can be revealing .
Also private searchable trees show up common names ...if you have unknown GRADY to your tree you could also add parents to him with approximate dates without first names
For mother you can add first name "maybe "
Second name a surname which comes up frequently or in your highest matches
Thru line will then show matches thru any of his siblings or maternal sides .
You can add a tag explaining that you have DNA matches to this side .
