I'm after his baptism, and marriage perhaps to Ann Reader.

Hi,

Do you know any other information, such as the following:
- When did he die and where?
- What were the names of his children, and where were they baptised?
- Where did you get Ann's surname from?

It's just a bit difficult to search with such little information.

There is a John Mealing baptised on 15th April 1701 to John and Ann. I have nothing earlier.

1678 John son of Benjamin & Elizabeth MORLING

Administration of the estate of Benjamin MAWLING of Woodbridge was granted in 1681.

A William Mealing was baptised in 1691 in Ufford, son of Francis Jnr and Elizabeth Mealing. That is the earliest Mealing baptism I can find in Ufford. Maybe John was an older brother of William, or a brother of Francis Jnr Mealing.

I have had a look for the marriage of John Mealing to Anne Reader, to no avail. As others have said, how do you know Ann's maiden name? Is it from a will of a relative?
