Edward Jones in 1891Census
Ince Green Lane, Ince in Makerfield, Wigan, Lancashire, England age 25 born 1866 Goods guard railway wife Elizabeth (nee Holcroft) 26 born 1865 Hindley, Lancashire. Transcript looks like born in Llandbloodwell, Wales. His marriage 13 Aug 1890 Hindley, Lancashire shows his father as Edward Jones deceased. Can anyone help find his parents and where he was in census records prior to 1891 please
regards dinkey

At a guess born Llandrindod Wells, Montgomeryshire
-
I was wondering if it was Llanyblodwel.
I notice his father is simply "deceased" on the marriage, not a "collier" (that is Elizabeth's father's occupation).
-
That sounds a better bet, my Montgomeryshire geography leaves a lot to be desired outside of Carno
-
You might have some help on this if it's put on the Shropshire page.Llanyblodwel in 1881 is given as Llanyblodwel Shropshire.Gadget help please?

William Russell Jones.

Llanyblodwel is a place right on the Border between Shropshire and Wales.Often these fluctuate in Census entries between England and Wales. As I also stated I'm hopeful that my friend Gadget sees this as she is very helpful with these border areas.
