Title: Help needed please
Post by: benn34 on Saturday 15 October 22 14:21 BST (UK)
Hi Guys,

I wonder if someone can possibly help me please? I have the following christening record for a Thomas Bowar dated 1773 St Olave, Southwark.  I already know that most of it says Thos, son of Thos and Ann Bowar but there is a word after it that I cant make any sense of.

Best wishes

Ann

Solder, meaning Soldier.

There are others in this part of the register, and the spelling of some of the other occupations is also a bit wayward.
