Title: Cheshire Record Office wills
Post by: Jayson on Tuesday 11 October 22 23:12 BST (UK)
Is anyone else having difficulty searching for wills?

They seem to have updated their search facility. Heaven knows why as it was working perfectly before.

I fill in what I know (sometimes I’m just casting my net wide so leave out exact dates and places of abode etc) press ‘search’ and receive a message saying ‘Not enough entries’ at the bottom of the page. And even when I fill everything out entering details of wills ordered previously nothing happens.

Feeling slightly frustrated!

I have used the wills search before and always found it OK.  I just tried searching on my family surname of Sherratt with no other info and got 5 pages of results.  I did accept their cookies :-\

Ok at my end too (although the 'new' Overleigh database leaves a lot to be desired).

Have you searched the HMCTS site or is the date outside their range?
