The 1921 Census for Walter James Wood's family of Gloucester lists 5 Children, the last of which is Neville H WOOD aged 2 years and 3 Months.
I have searched for Neville without success.
Any help or thoughts would be most welcome.

What was the maiden surname of his supposed mother
-
Do you mean searched for his birth or?
Maybe he preferred using his middle name H whatever that was and can be found later on under that?
-
I cannot see this person in 1921, I wonder if he is relevant to that entry

Thank you for your replies
Rosie you’ve got the right record in the 1921
I believe Florence left the family and I know Walter was away involved in WW1.
The key question fo me is, Does Neville who according to the 1921 was born March 1919 exist?
Florence was an Edwards

Your thought about Neville Henry Cook being a guest is interesting.
Two points. Would Walter know Neville’s age to the month and
the Cook and Wood birth dates seem to imply a 6 month Cook pregnancy .

Just adding to Ladyhawks great findings.
Elsie Alberta first married Harold Gordon Butler 22nd June 1911. No children seemingly born to them.
Death of Harold
BUTLER, HAROLD GORDON aged 29
GRO Reference: 1913 D Quarter in GLOUCESTER Volume 06A Page 335
Elsie Alberta appears in 1911 census with many siblings as step daughter of Frances E Townsend in Gloucester.

Glad to have been able to help solve your query along with others - it was only because of Rosie99 (reply 3) giving a possible birth entry for Neville Henry Cook mmn Merrett that I thought I'd take a look at Gloucestershire BMD
You can find both marriage entries on Anc*y for Elsie Alberta Merrett/Butler
