Title: Tin Town, Rosyth
Post by: Man of Kent on Monday 05 September 05 23:23 BST (UK)
Does anyone have any information about the location called Tin Town?.
A prefrabricated town of Tin Buildings built to house workers at the Dockyard in the early part of the 1900's for the build up of ww1.
My late  mothers family moved there when she was a little girl, after transfer from Chatham.
Some family members stayed and are in the area still.

Hi

There is a book called 'Tintown Revisited' which can be purchased through Fife Family History Society website.  Also try Dunfermline Library, Local History Dept who have a huge collection of photographs of the areas surrounding Dunfermline.
