Title: Reid's Land (Depot), Coatbridge
Post by: ppalla on Monday 26 September 22 14:34 BST (UK)
Hello everyone,

I have been looking through Ordnance Survey maps for Reid's Land (Depot) in Coatbridge but have not been able to find it.

I have attached a section of the 1881 census record that includes the address. Is my interpretation correct?

The valuation rolls only show Reids Row.

Thanks,
Patrizia

Reid's Land (Depot) is correct, it is listed in the 1881 street index for Old Monkland. You can narrow it down to the Gartsherrie area of Old Monkland with the parish detail at the top of the page.

A newspaper article dated 1889 describes Reid's Land as being on Canal Street, Coatbridge
