She married on 29 Aug 1841 Melbourne to Michael HONAN. She died in 1849, possibly at birth of her third child.

Hi yes Ellen was the youngest and was born in July 49 and then Baptized in the August .I have a mention of both Winnifred and Michael's names on the baptism. I cannot find mention of a grave or a death..I'm trying to locate where she went to when she left the ship.Im wondering if it's the same place Michael was at as she arrived in 1841 and a few mths later in the same year they were married. The "Neptune" arrived in Melbourne at the end of March 1841. So I would think there both met there, which is where they married.
She died well before civil registration, so the most you can hope for is a church burial record somewhere. I did not find one.
Honan was granted a ticket of leave in 1840, and cert of freedom in 1841 just a few weeks after his marriage to Winifred. Information on his TOL, gives his employer and that he was off to Melbourne.

Possible that Winifred was also in the employ of the Hawdon family, or at least she met Honan through them.

There is plenty of information about the Hawdon family to be easily found online (google and wikipedia) and in Trove newspapers.

Interesting that he rented a property called Elderslie as I'm connected to people in NZ who owned a property in NZ called Elderslie.I just thought it was an interesting similarity.
