I think you will find that the older children are on the manifest as single men and women, apart from the family. Patrick, 20, Mary, 17, and Martin, 14.

thank you for that didnt see that

Can you please double check Bridget's maiden name.
Is it Keraney
or
Kearney?
There are some unusual Irish surnames and Keraney (something like Rainey/Raney but with a K?) may be one but I'd like to check I am starting off correctly phonetically.

A bit about Bridget Jnr. here - wrong arrival year but says she spent her younger years in Kapunda. I think 'Glen Ina' should be Gleninagh in Clare.

"i know John spent time at Pekina,"
Which John is this....father or son?
Using Trove I see FITZPATRICKs and Pekina.
How/when do you place your FITZPATRICKs at Pekina.
"John A. c1854-27 Oct 1915 Adelaide"
Where do you see John FITZPATRICK, died 1915, with a second given name?. What is the second given name?
Are you descended from this FITZPATRICK family?
"Patrick born ?"
You had reason to believe there was a Patrick FITZPATRICK but did not have him to be on the "Tarquin" with his family.
Apart from the reasonable suspicion that a FITZPATRICK family from Ireland might include a Patrick, where have you seen something specific for your family?

Indeed, shanreagh
Here's what John Gresham has for it - no Keraney households in Griffith's or a surname dictionary entry.

Can you please give attention to these questions as it will contribute to information that this forum can use to assist you.
* " i am unsure what john jun. middle name is. "
Where are you seeing your John FITZPATRICK named as John A FITZPATRICK?
* "Bridget married Patrick Coffey 26 nov 1873 Kapunda"
Can you please list all the information on this marriage certificate.
* How have you identified Bridget's family name to be KEARNEY...or variation of.
* Using TROVE I can see death of William FITZPATRICK, 1883. How have you identified this man to be your William FITZPATRICK?. It is hardly an unusual name.
* You had reason to believe there was a Patrick FITZPATRICK but did not have him to be on the "Tarquin" with his family. Apart from the reasonable suspicion that a FITZPATRICK family from Ireland might include a Patrick, where have you seen something specific for your family?
I can connect John FITZGERALD, died 1915, and Bridget COFFEY, died 1946, to be siblings in your family, so that bit is settled.

*another researcher had the a as johns middle name
*i got Bridgets marriage from the BDM of South australia.
* on the BISA Bridgets surname was listed as Kearney
* re death of William, his brother was the informat (john) who was living in the area at the time
* have since found Patrick on the same ship. Patrick aged 20, Mary aged 17, and martin aged 14. i beleive they are connected to John and bridget as they share the same application number.
* i got Bridget Jun. birth from the BISA which i have now found to be incorrect

What is the correct information about Bridget, and how have you found the correct information.
You need to see the marriage certificate for Bridget FITZPATRICK. BDM certificates for South Australia do not record much information, but it would be useful to see if Bridget can write, and the names of the witnesses, who might be relatives.

This looks like a report of the death of Martin.

Michael Regan, laborer, residing near Corowa, N.S. Wales, deposed:
I have seen the body of deceased; recognise it as that of Martin Fitzpatrick; am not aware that he has any friends in this colony; his parents and friends reside near the town of Kapunda, South Australia; deceased was a native of Clare, Ireland, and came to this colony from Adelaide, in the same vessel as myself, about four years ago.
