I am looking for any information on the De Greaves Family, particularly those before Richard Lambert Greaves who was born in roughly 1848 Ireland and died in 1932 Echuca, Victoria Australia. He married Elizabeth Gunn in Australia.
His parents were Robert Greaves/ De Greaves and Maria Lambert.
I think the De before the name Greaves is confusing me because it doesn't sound like a last name that would be from Ireland. If anyone knows why there is a De in front of the name or has any information on this family please let me know!

Is this his father's grave?

I don't believe so. I just found this newspaper article on that death but it says he was 24 at the time and that would make his date of birth after Richard's.

ADDING
Elizabeth had possibly reverted to GREAVES by the time of her death in 1943. Though she and the family were De GREAVES on the Electoral Rolls in Echuca
