What proof do you have that she died in 2015 given that your friend does not seem to have had any contact?
Her husband(s) may still be alive as will be her children in which case no info can be posted as stated above.
Does your friend live in Scotland or South Africa? If she is her half sister - do they share the same mother or the same father?
If your friend lives in SA - she can search records there. Obtaining a copy of the 2015 death cert would be a starting point

they share a mother julia tulloch her death is definitely 2015 my friend was a wartime baby who was adopted right after birth julia married james david macgregor 9 months later

yes she travelled back to scotland several times but the last time i saw her was in 1955 when she went back to africa she has at least 3 living children surname gregan but her death says kircher so she may have been married more than once it looks like her father james david macgregor died in 1976 her mother julia macgregor ms/tulloch died after him julia was born 1915 in orkney
