I'm trying to find the marriage of Benjamin Jacobs and Martha ?. Their earliest child I can find was baptised in 1757 in St Leonards, Shoreditch so I think they were likely to have married in the 1750s. All of their children were born in London, as was Benjamin. The only possible marriage record I can find is between a Benjamin Jacobs and Martha Quelch in Chievely, Berkshire on 2nd Nov 1752 but this seems a bit unlikely due to the distance. Is anyone able to check the record for me and see if it lists which parishes they are from? Many thanks in advance!

Hi
There are baptisms to Benjamin and Martha Jacob/s in Hampstead Norreys, Berkshire, from 1753 to 1770.
So I guess it is likely they are the Chieveley couple.

Earlier baptisms in Shoreditch
Susanna Jacob, 13 Feb 1753
Edward Jacob, 3 June 1754

Hi, I can't see the image online so can't say to which parish they belonged.
Possible baptism for Martha Quelch:
21 Jun 1730 Ashampstead, Berkshire. Parents James and Ann Quelch.
There is a burial record for Martha Jacobs 8 Mar 1790 Shoreditch, born c 1729.

There's a baptism for a Benjamin Jacobs on 27 Mar 1729 at St Gregory By St Paul, City of London s/o Benjamin and Elinor, could be connected
Bit confused about where the parish actually was then, but must be near St Paul's

One child of Benjamin and Martha of Shoreditch has the middle name Vallon, might be a clue to mother's surname.
