Title: Tithe apportionment for Pentrich and Ripley Derbyshire
Post by: isitdust on Friday 29 July 22 11:39 BST (UK)
Hello

Would some kind person carry out a lookup in the tithe records fo Derbyshire

I’m looking for “Landowner and occupier"

The landowner could be William Jessop or the Butterley company of Ripley Derbyshire

Thanks in anticipation
Regards
Peter

Shaun

Apologies that’s not where my house is!

It’s in Hammersmith Derbyshire and on the OS MAP it’s the triangle of land just below the H of Hammersmith and opposite plot no95

It appears not to have a plot number on the os map

Thanks again
Peter

It took me a while to find it but that triangle looks to be part of plot 33 on the Ripley tithe map. One of "Twelve Gardens" owned by William Jessop and occupied (along with 31 houses and gardens in plot 31) by William Alton and others.
