I'm trying to find any information about John and Eliza Beckett. They are the parents of Ann Maria born 1871 in Reading Berkshire. I have them in the 1881 census as confectioners in Surrey. John is born about 1840 and Eliza about 1843.
If anyone has access to census data before or after this it would be a great help.

Just trying to find Eliza'a maiden name. Any Ideas. She should have been born about 1836 (yep just missed!) and on census returns seems she was born in Berkshire. Can't seem to find her. Can anyone help?
-
There is a birth registration for an Ann Maria BECKETT 1870 in Reading registration district - purchasing the certficate will give you Eliza's maiden name if it is the correct one for one of the children http://freebmd.rootsweb.com

Yes I have a few now to order. I try to save them up so that I only pay for one lot of postage to Australia - via a friend in UK

Did you realise that you can order direct (£7 each) from the government site with no postal charges ..........

It's been a while since I ordered any certificates. At that time they would only send in UK not international. So that's great that I can order direct now. Thanks for all you help.
