Title: Electoral rolls for Jersey?
Post by: Hollyhocker on Wednesday 20 July 22 19:09 BST (UK)
Hi everyone
I'm trying to search the electoral rolls in Jersey from 1945-75.

I've been in touch with Jersey Archives and unfortunately they don't hold them. They pointed me in the direct of the States Graffe who sent me the following message...

I’m afraid the States Greffe does not hold this information.
The Parishes keep record of the electoral roll, however, these are wiped every few years. I would have directed you to Jersey Archive but it seems they don’t have record of this either.

I’m very sorry not to be able to assist further.

Does this mean there are no historical electoral rolls for Jersey?

Thanks very much for your time X

The Public Library does have some electoral rolls but they are not the same as the UK. There are possibly other methods of determining the information you require but I cannot look at it this week. I'll get back to you next week.
