Hello there,
Attached is a list of deaths from the Rakaia that arrived here in 1875. Right it the bottom is Henry Chapman. It looks like he died in February... do you think it says the 1st or the 7th?

Thanks Minniehaha. It does look like a 1 to me too, but I saw a family tree on Ancestry that wrote that Henry died"just before the ship berthed at Lyttelton" which made me think maybe it was the 7th as that's when the ship arrived in the port of Lyttelton.
