Title: Looking for information on parents of Susan Frances Boyd Cox

My ggreatgrandmother was Susan Frances Boyd, born to John W Boyd and Harriet Frances ? in Cartahage(?) Missouri in 1853. I'm trying to find the birth information of Susan's parents as well as the maiden name of her mother. The 1850 census lists both parents a being born in Kentucky. Harriet appears to have later married to a Dodson after John Boyd died. If anyone has any concrete information on this family, I would really appreciate finding more. Thank you.

A tree on Ancestry has Harriet as Dodson when she married Boyd.  Where did you see a remarriage for Harriet Boyd to a Dodson?

Harriet F 25  Kentucky
Sarah L 3
Mary L 4 months

1870 Phelps Rolla Missouri
Harriet f Dodson widow 46 keeping house Kentucky
Mary L Dodson 19  Missouri
Susan 16
William James 13 attending school
Sunhilda?/Shilda  9

Suggestion her second husband was a Union soldier Francis M Dodson born 1835 17th Cavalry

possible death for John W Boyd Capt 17th Regiment 24 June 1863 place of death Offices of G ? Musfreesbon ? Tennessee
The man was from kentucky and a volunteer.

Yes that's the info I found as well, but doesn't give her maiden name anywhere. Thanks for your repsonse.

I think it is Carthage Missouri.

A Harriet F Stephens married a William Boyd, 1845, Jefferson, Kentucky.
