Title: Feckenham marriage in 1728
Post by: Comosus on Saturday 11 June 22 13:18 BST (UK)
Hello, I am looking for the marriage of John Search to Hannah Dyson, which apparently took place on 6 January 1728 in Feckenham according to some family trees online. However the transcription does not appear on Ancestry/FindMyPast/FamilySearch so I don't know whether this information is true or not.

Unfortunately the parish records for Feckenham for this period don't seem to be available online. I think my only other option would be to go to Worcester just for this one record (as I don't have any other ancestry in Worcestershire), so I would really appreciate any help!

Best wishes

Have you tried contacting the tree owners to see if one of them has actual proof?

I have but no luck so far. There are hundreds of trees with them on and the information just seems to have been copied from tree to tree, so I have no idea who added the information in the first place. It's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack!

The Worcestershire PRs are now on Ancestry and this marriage is on there. 6 Jan 1728 indexed as Hana Dyson and Jon Searles. He was from Alcester.

Thank you Ian that's perfect, I didn't realise those records were on Ancestry, I guess I didn't spot them because of the mistranscription!

They've only just appeared on there in the last day or so.
