Thomas Duffy died 6 Aug.1917 "Son of James and Elizabeth Duffy, of 21, Upper Gloucester St., Dublin"
https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/446467/thomas-duffy/
Possibly this family?

Five Joseph Duffys listed in CWGC but none of the details match your post.
Where did you get information that "Thomas duffy and Joseph duffy ofthe 2nd battalion royal Dublin fusiliers are related they both died the same day in Flanders"
If you search CWGC site for 'Duffy' and only put in 'Royal Dublin' as Regiment there are 22 results you can view for more details.

You have numerous topics on your grandfather, William Duffy (I soon lost count of how many) but this topic gives his parents as Thomas and Margaret-
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=604064.msg4535870#msg4535870
No need to keep starting new topics as you can simply add to an earlier one and it also helps to give the information you already know.

William had a few brothers Thomas John and Joseph one died and lied about his age can only imagine it would be Joseph. 7728 Dublin dis 2nd battalion died 26 April 1915
-
Joseph Duffy 7728 died from wounds (GS abdomen) in a German Field Hospital (Number 12 at Lendelede) on 10 May 1915. Buried at Lendelede.
Father was John, sister Mary, brother Owen, all in Dublin
-
Thanks for that. I seen another report that he was mistakenly listed as dead but he returned home after the war. Joseph had a sister Mary and a brother John in my grandfathers family. I wonder if he lied about his age and parents’ just a family story that my grandfathers brother died he lies about his age

7728 Joseph Duffy's will

His sister Mary gives her address as 117 Upper Abbey Street Dublin
This appears to be her in 1911 born Dublin
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/North_City/Abbey_St__Upper/16036/
Note Bridget Gleeson, witness to Mary's statement and also living at 117 Upper Abbey St in 1911.

Do you think a moderator should attempt a merge of some of these topics?
For instance
All the Dublin board
All the WW1 board
The potential for doubling up on information is enormous with this number of topics. Terribly frustrating to be working away on a topic and then find that the info was found by some other helpful researcher some years before.

How about….
Perhaps as the inquiries come up, responders could ask will1890 if he would kindly mind taking a moment to re-check through his other 45 threads to ensure the information is not already contained therein.
Then with his assurance that it is not already explored, the team could move into researching and helping. ;D

Since you say you are using your uncle's Rootschat account I suggest you go back through ALL the posts already made (not just the ones I highlighted earlier) to see what has already been asked and what information has already been provided to those queries.
