Hello

I’m looking for guidance for where to find a example of a birth certificate from 1945.

I do not need to find the details of the birth, as this is already known.

No South African Birth records from that date are on-line - you would need to get it from the relevant department.

In South Africa you are issued with an Abridged Birth Certificate that states when and where you are born, to get one reflecting parents you need tp apply for an unabridged or vault copy

I am trying to establish types of birth certificates for the earlier years to help understand present day requirements.
