This is a paraphrasing of it – it’s my best shot but I can’t read some of the words.
Record no. 240 (I’m not sure of that number)
In Gualan on the
16 December 1946, in front of the ??
? of the Civil Registration Fabian E (surname)
and in the presence of competent witnesses
by law and of/to my knowledge Senores
Humberto Padilla and (?) Barriento (?)
appeared Don Federico Eugenio Sigui, (? –
I think this is his job title), 31 years old, (?-
-?) and neighbour of this (?), with a neighbourhood card
Number 923, issued here, and
said that the day before, at midday,
as a consequence of (REDACTED),
according to information from the Municipal Guard
Angelino (?), died Alfonso Sigui,
33 years old, of the profession of (?),
who was son of Maximiliano Sigui and Juana
Garcia who did not come from Guatemala
originally, neighbour of this town, who did
not have a neighbourhood card. (?) confirmed it
(?) and signed.
I suppose a “neighbourhood card” would be an ID card. I've put "town" close to the bottom (for Villa) but a "Villa" historically could be a "small town with priveliges" (I've no idea what priveliges!) and a "Villa miseria" in Argentina is a shanty town.

Thanks very much folks. This is a great help to me. I should have done better myself considering I spent 1 year and a half living and working in Latin America. My excuse is that it was a very long time ago! The only thing I remembered was a Cedula (of identity). Thanks again.
