It seems a long shot but I'm looking for the date of death for one Fanny Salmond Dickson, who died in June 1983.
I can find it on Scotlands people but it doesn't give the full date, and can order a certificate that should, but it'll take weeks to arrive due to covid delays.
I need this asap for a grave marker, bit of a long family story but the grave marker needs to be done asap.
I wondered if anyone might be able to see if there's any record there with the date, or another way I don't know of?
DOB 11.07.02. Born Glasgow, Died Clydebank.
Many thanks

Would the local council's Registrar's Office be able to help?

Or might there have been a notice in a newspaper? For example, the Glasgow Herald is available free at Google (you need to use the date box to search for a year/month):

The cemetery were she is buried or the crematorium will have the date of death on their records.

Thanks all for replies,
I had asked the crematorium but they didn't have date of death as record formats had changed in the interim years and it wasn't kept.
Hugely appreciate the time everyone took to reply and search themselves in order to help.
many thanks
