He is not mine. My Albert wife was Henrietta Christine Martenson. Parents and siblings farmed in the Vegreville area of Alberta.

Thanks for looking

I have checked the Calgary Herald for the time around the supposed death date and no obituary was found.

1958 Voters' List puts the couple in Edmonton.  Ditto for 1963.  I do not find him with Henrietta in Calgary at all.

Thanks for looking. I guess that he could have been in Calgary for medical reasons or for whatever and died there. I have nothing re Henrietta either.

There is a Lloyd Tuck in Calgary in 1972 but with a different wife.  Possible that he remarried?  There are a couple of family trees on Ancestry owned by Tuck family members who do not show a remarriage but also don't have a death date for Henrietta.

The 1972 Voters List has him in Calgary as a construction worker. In the household are a Lyle, Mrs. Maryann (not sure whose wife this is), Douglas, and Mrs. Gloria (listed below Douglas).  These other names don't match up with the names of the children on the family tree.

I checked with the Vegreville Cemetery thinking he may be there where his parents are buried but no luck

1982 Calgary phone directory has an A.L. Tuck at 2945 26 Avenue SE, Apt. 330.

OK, the Lloyd Tuck with Douglas etc living with him is likely not yours.  In the 1972 Voters' List, they are living at 4311 26th Avenue SW Calgary.  In the 1972 telephone directory, A.L. Tuck is living at 279 99th Avenue SE.  The Lloyd on 26th Avenue SW is noted as L.R. Tuck in the same telephone directory.

However, I also note that A.L. Tuck is in Calgary as early as 1958 directories. The 99th Avenue SE is noted in the 1974 voters' list for an Allan Tuck, a librarian, so you can take him of your list.  Still unsure what happened to your guy.

Calgary Herald, 16/10/82, has an article about living without a car: "Lloyd and Etta Tuck" are interviewed. They live in a "senior citizens apartment". Lloyd is 79 and Etta is 72. Lloyd only goes out "to the doctor".

Etta is still living in August 1997 in Calgary, an aunt of her deceased (+27/8/97) nephew William Reed.  Also another aunt Sally Martensen of SK is still living then.

Hope this helps.

Knowing she went by Etta lead me to the obituary for a William Allan Reed in the Calgary Herald on 30 August 1997; names his aunts, Helen Clark, Etta Tuck, and Dorothy Schmil all of Calgary and Sally Martensen of Leask, Saskatchewan.

So they are certainly in Calgary.
I contacted the city but they do not show up in any of the city operated cemeteries(6).

Obituary of Etta's brother Herman Carson Martensen of Saskatoon in September 1983 names his sister Etta in Calgary.  He is buried at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon.

Interesting that Herman's bio on find a grave shows all siblings except Henrietta

Dorothy Schiml died in 2018 at the age of 105. Her obit only mentions her immediate family.
