Looks a bit like 'June'.

So June Pinkett.

Is the signature at the end of a letter? (Wondering if there is more writing we can see to compare letter forms)

I considered June too - I can’t think of another girl’s name (born in the 40s perhaps) which might fit.

Surname either has a lot of crossed Ts or she’s crossed her Ts along the length of the name.

Truly spelled incorrectly ….
Wondering if it might be a “foreign” name?

(This looks like the writing of someone older than 20s to me)  :-\ Is the photo of a girl in her 20s?

I think the OP is suggesting it is written on a Black and white photo, Ruskie.

Thanks Gadget. Of course it is.  :-[ I should pay more attention to the subject heading.  ;D

Girl definitely no older than late 20's
No other writing
Leaving face out
She is wearing overalls over white muscle shirt underwear
Looks like 'Gimar' to me
The last name is a doozy- maybe
p-i-r-o-t-t-e-r-t-t which of course is gobbledygook

Janice Pinkett?
She appears to "dot" her i's with a heart, which would be a young person's habit I would think.

Is it possible to post an image taken closer to make it clearer rather than having to enlarge it which is making it look out of focus/smudged?

I had a look in the newspapers to see if I could find a June Pritchett, that would fit for around the 1950s and 1960s.

There are a few articles under that name, most related to a school in Whatton in the Vale. A June Pritchett was a pupil at a school there in the 1930s, they don't say how old she was though.

One from the 25th July, 1949 mentions a Miss June Pritchett being a bridesmaid at a wedding in Nottingham. She was the groom's sister, who was Mr Reginald Pritchett.

I will see if I can see anything of the other possible combinations.

EDIT: There is a June Pinkett in Bristol somewhere, but I can't find many details about her in the newspapers.

None of the other combinations suggested so far turned up anything for me.

“June” is unlikely, for the first name, which has an “i” in it, that has been dotted with a 💜 heart.
This is something that is done today by girls around the 10 to 16 age group.

Would you be willing to show us the photo? Your description and mention of overalls made me think of war time (not the muscle shirt though).  :)

Perrottet is a surname (current premier of NSW Australia has this surname).

Girl definitely no older than late 20's

Can you explain how you know this to be fact & do you know of an area connected?

Perrottet is a surname

After a quick search on FreeBMD, the surname & variants is found mainly in Aylesbury (Bucks) &  seems to be contained there although nothing fitting for the signature on the photo?

I agree with Annie. If you could rescan the photo it might pick up more detail on how the letters were formed.

Images can also be enhanced to bring out more detail so it’s worth trying to get a good scan to work with.

Puckett?

I see an s rather than a c, so will add Puskett to the list. Unsure if there is a heart above the word or if it’s some other squiggle - would like to see a clearer image if possible.

It's certainly one of those "worked on" rather over contrived signatures that teenagers would devise and cover any spare space with.

She spent time devising a signature but neglected her spelling lessons.

Janice looks a good suggestion to me. How about Prickett or Priskett for the surname? (It seems to have a letter 'i' with the same heart-shaped dot.)
