Hello
I have the names Morrow and Kincaid in my family.
Would there be a general area in Ireland where these surnames are historically more common?
-
Hi,
You've posted in IRELAND RESOURCES which is for resources not queries.
I have asked a moderator to move your request to the Ireland General board where you might find an answer.
Moderator Comment: The topic has now been moved here to the Ireland board

You can have a look here, https://www.swilson.info/sdist.php for surnames in the mid 1800s.
-
Apologies for using the wrong board. I’m new to this.

It’s no problem. It will be moved for you.
If you want to research your family, just post the details you have. It might be best to wait until it is moved though. :)

Tony,
A very warm welcome to RootsChat. The magic wand has been waved and your topic has found the right board now. :)

From the other thread
William Kincaid born approx 1840 married to Mary Lang/Long born approx 1832, they were married in Ireland on 14th April 1855/1857. The had a daughter called Helen/Ellen born in Ireland approx 1863. They left for Scotland between 1863 and 1865.
An ‘unknown’ birth is also mentioned by JAP in reply #1.
Here is that birth now online
