Can anybody help pls? Looking for early records for Patrick O'Brien b1844 Carlow who emigrated to London, marrying Elizabeth Watkins in 1872 in St Pancras. I am keen to find parents if possible. Many thanks

You'll need to order the marriage certificate.
-
Thanks - the marriage happened in London and there are no details of parents. I'm trying to find details of birth.
-
The marriage certificate should give you his father’s name which might help to trace him.
Where do you have him after marriage?
-
Hi - I have him living in St Pancras, London, then Sevenoaks Kent and finally Southend on Sea.
-
I can’t see him in any of those places :-\
I tried St Pancras earlier with no success.
Civil birth records did not begin until 1864 in Ireland. You are looking for baptism records so you would need an idea if his religion. That is why the marriage details re father’s name would help also.

Yes thanks - he was catholic but that's all I can find so far. It's quite a common name. Thanks for trying :)

Patrick O’Brien 24 yrs (abt 1847) .
He is a brother in law to Edward Murphy and there is a Mary O’Brien, 56 yrs b Carlow - mother?

Marriage
Edmund Murphy and Mary O’Brian 1860 Pancras
The last child was Thomas b 1868. There are a couple of possibilities for Mary Murphy death before 1871 census.
This is just a bit more in case Mary is your Patrick’s sister.

1861 122 /149/14
Edmund Murphy 29 yrs
Mary Murphy 25 yrs
Catherine Murphy 1 month
Patrick O'Brien 21 yrs
The age is out and as you say it is a common name though.
