thank you in advance
Regards
Dave

Hhmm not easy is it! It looks like Tarpina or Tarnina but I wouldn't take that as certain.
Have you found this person on the 1881 and 1901 census records? If so what does it say for birthplace on those census records?
-
It looks like Tamina.
There are 5 townlands which are spelt or may sound like it.
Tomona Counties Tipperary and Wexford
Timoney County Tipperary
Tomany County Monaghan
Toomona County Roscommon.

Well done Maiden Stone. :)
If I have the right one - surely there can’t be two with a crossing out, it is much clearer on the one I see.
1891 2166/68
Catherine Gallagher b Ireland Tamina.

thank you both for the replies, I've not found the family on 1881/1901 censuses, the problem is the variation in the surname/ phonetic spelling of Gallagher, Gollagher, Golagher, and Golichar.
I will check on Tamina and Toomona
regards
Dave

She is Kate b Ireland in 1901 2599/78/17
A maiden name of Armstrong has been added to all Ancestry entries .
-
1911 - I think she is Kate, a widow and born Hanley ::)

If you don’t have it, there is a possible/likely marriage in Bridgetown, Scotland in 1874.
1891 has a son, William James b 1878 Glasgow.

Thank you Heywood for the information, Yes the first born William was born in Glasgow. It would make sense. Thank you for your help
