Title: Hannah JOHN b1870 Q2, Morriston, (Llangyfelach) Swansea
Post by: JohnG_Swansea on Sunday 20 March 22 11:25 GMT (UK)
Hello Fellow Researchers
I am researching the genealogical history of William Rowlands b1860, Llys y Fran, East Walton, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

I have reached the point where I want to add his wife to the tree whom I am comfortable to believe is Hannah John, b1870 Q2 Morriston, Swansea, Wales, who is known in the Civil Registration system as 11a 608.  However, finding the appropriate page in Ancestry is proving to be rather challenging!

Entering Hannah’s details into Ancestry Search provides a link to the 11a 608 Hannah, but the associated and presented page is for the First Quarter, not the Second Quarter of 1870.

Can any readers provide a ‘work around’ to reach the Ancestry page for Rowlands Births, during the Second Quarter of 1870, without including a named individual in the search fields?

The 11a 608 record for Hannah John in Swansea on the GRO website is in the April-June quarter 1870 - with mother's maiden name of Bowen.

if you look at the record on Ancestry she is not listed in the Jan-Mar index. Change the quarter at the top of the page to Apr-Jun and add here from there.

it's the first time i can remember the wrong quarter being allocated, but realised when she wasn't listed in Q1 that you can change the year / quarter.
